Jeremy Creek is a spoiled brat who gets everything he wants by whining and throwing tantrums. He hoards all the toys in town, but that's not enough. He wants every toy.
It gets to the point where, after Little Mr. Selfish creates a ginormous Christmas list, Santa diverts it to a small village he'd previously forgotten, a town that has the same name as Jeremy, and that is the crux of The Town Santa Forgot, one of Hanna-Barbera's last Christmas specials, produced in 1993. Dick Van Dyke narrates.

It is based on a poem by Charmaine Severson. I should note I'd never heard of the story before seeing it one year on Cartoon Network. Eventually, Jeremy finally gets the message, but ask yourself this. Are there any real-life Jeremy Creeks that you've encountered? I'd not be surprised if the answer was yes.
