Literary Toons: The Reluctant Dragon meets Robin Hood (1970)

In the interest of equal time, since we did a Mr. Toad short the other day, it's the Reluctant Dragon's turn to shine. Once again, this is in black & white due to the source material.

Don't know if he was so christened by his creator, Kenneth Grahame, but the Dragon was given a name, Tobias, on the show. Here, he meets up with a poor man's Robin Hood. And I do mean poor.

Seems as though head writer Romeo Muller drew his inspiration for this story from Jay Ward's Fractured Fairy Tales, but it's way off the mark.

Rating: D.
