Looney TV: Falling Hare (1943)

Bugs Bunny gets a rude awakening when, after telling the audience that he seemingly doesn't believe gremlins exist, he meets one bent on destroying a military bomb. Bob Clampett's "Falling Hare" is a WWII comedy with a wacky ending.

"Falling Hare" was directed by Bob Clampett, who liked Bugs Bunny mostly for the character's lack of inhibitions. His take on Bugs was more of an anarchist as opposed to other directors such as Chuck Jones or Friz Freleng, who usually portrayed as Bugs as a hero/anti-hero. This is one of the rare shorts in which Bugs is victimized through most of it. It's still a funny short, though.

And this was needed to show that Bugs wasn't invincible. Good stuff.
